Put your best foot forward. Make a good first impression. Most people know these clichés and would agree they are valid yet so many don't strive to achieve them. Having a great head shot (a selfie is not a head shot) will influence people's perception of you the instant they see it. That first contact, more and more, is made on social media which is arguably the go-to medium to reach your audience. On social media one of the first things people look at  is your profile photo.
